We are part of the larger Knox Little Athletics Club (KLAC23) organisation. Distinctively, fashionably, perhaps even kewly attired we stand out from the other eleven clubs with our stunning purple uniforms. We are a friendly and unique bunch of individuals. One of the highlights of the year is our cake stall, traditionally held early in the season!
Our experienced team managers are like a well oiled machine on competition days, efficiently marshalling and coordinating the athletes for their events and recording everything that goes down each day. Our system has been honed over the years and is the envy of all. Other clubs can but stand by and watch in awe as we hand out personal bests and record pb after pb! What a bunch of little champions we have every year!

Our committee meetings are held monthly or as required during the summer season, for exact dates have a look at the calendar. We tend to go into temporary hibernation during the winter season and respawn just before the start of the summer track & field season.
As we are a non profit organisation, all the money we earn goes back into the club to help run things better for your children. As funds become available we buy things like shelters, tables, etc. Generally things to ensure the smooth and comfortable running of events on competition days at Knox & various regional & state venues.

Knox LAC runs the following events :
- Sprints (70m, 100m, 200m)
- Middle distance depending on age group (400m, 800m)
- Long Distance again dependant on age group (1500m)
- Hurdles depending on age (60m, 80m, 90m, 100m, 110m, 200m, 300m)
- Steeplechase (Under 13 and above)
- Long Jump / Triple Jump / High Jump
- Shot Put / Discus
- Hammer(Under 15 & Youth Athletics only)
- Javelin for (Under 11 and above)
- Relays (Under 9-15)
- Multi-event (100m, long jump, discus, hurdles & 800m - the Little Aths version of adult Decathlon & Heptathlon)
- Mini Olympics - special program held for U6 to U8 aimed at non competitive skill acquisition and general introduction to athletics events

and if you are really game and also a member of seniors we inherited the Commonwealth Games pole vault setup!
If you are graded as U14 or older then you can also compete in seniors and have dual registration.> As of 2007 T&F season there is a new beast called Youth Athletics. Similar to Interaths (which we ran last year at Knox), Youth Athletics is again a bridging year between Litlle Athletics & seniors.
Knox LAC runs & competes in other fun days and events - Bring a Friend Day, Open Days, Regional & State competitions, coaching camps, etc.
